I love LeTourneau for its Christ centered ministries under Jamie Fischer’s leadership. And I love serving at LeTourneau, doing my small part to keep this wonderful place operating. I’m most comfortable pouring coffee and clearing tables in the dining hall. Seeing all the happy faces of people enjoying themselves is a plus. And I even get to partake of a delicious meal for free! ~Milly Hough
As a child, I spent a week at Bible camp at LeTourneau for four consecutive summers. My family would attend services in the tabernacle. LeTourneau Camp was just part of most summers. Years later, my two children spent summers working at camp and many winter weekends. They were surrounded by godly servants of God who taught by example and the Word. They learned that serving the Lord could be hard work, but the life lessons were priceless. Volunteering at camp gives me an opportunity to give back to what has been a precious gift to both me and my family. ~Bonnie Oswold
We like connecting with people and giving back, since LeTourneau has given us so much.
We feel refreshed in knowing we have served and given someone else a blessing whether it is the group or a staff member. It makes us feel young again when we are working with the teen staff. ~Dan & Bonita McClure
2009 was the year I was introduced to LeTCC by a dear friend who has been closely tied to camp for years. The more time I spent at camp, the more I saw how deeply the staff desire to serve the Lord & the sacrifices they make to serve the guests who come. I thought about volunteering for quite some time. A day came when I finally committed to learning some of the housekeeping routines to help lighten the work load. It is a blessing to get to know other volunteers as we work together. Being able to stay at camp during times past when I needed to seek God, find His guidance and sense the overall peace that permeates LeTourneau, has been such a blessing to me. I see volunteering as a way to give back a portion of what I have gained, so that others may benefit. ~Elizabeth Tremper
